How to export leads from Opt
Opt stores your leads in its own system, but you can export them as a CSV and pull them straight into Lineage. This walkthrough covers setting up a reusable export template in Opt (a one-time step) and running the export so you can importing the result into Lineage.
When you'd do this
When you have leads in Opt that you want to work in Lineage — either your full book of business when you first get started, or a batch of new leads you want to add.
Part 1 — Create your export template (one-time setup)
You only need to do this once. After the template is saved, you can skip straight to Part 2 every time you export.
Step 1 — Log in to Opt and go to My Leads
Log in to your Opt account, then navigate to My Leads in the left sidebar. Your leads will appear in a table with columns for name, address, phone, email, and status.

Step 2 — Open Export/WYSIWYG
Hover over the Write menu at the top of the page. In the dropdown, click Export/WYSIWYG.

Step 3 — Click New in the Templates dialog
The Templates dialog opens showing any existing templates. Click the New button to create a fresh export template.

Step 4 — Name the template and start adding fields
In the New Template dialog, type AllColumns in the Title field. This name makes it easy to find later.
Then, in the Available Fields list on the left, click a field name to select it, then click the right-facing arrow button to move it into the Selected Fields list on the right. Repeat for each field.
The order of the fields doesn't matter — Lineage's column mapper handles matching when you import.

Step 5 — Add all available fields
Continue clicking through every field in the Available Fields list and moving each one to the right. Selecting a field highlights it in blue — then click the right-facing arrow to transfer it.

Step 6 — Confirm all fields are moved
When the Available Fields list is empty, every field has been added to Selected Fields. You should see a long list on the right with all the columns from Opt.

Step 7 — Set the format to CSV and save
In the File Format section at the bottom-left of the dialog, check the csv checkbox.
Then click Save & Run. Opt saves the template for future use and runs the export immediately. Your CSV file will download — set it aside for Part 3.

Part 2 — Export leads (repeat as needed)
Once your template is saved, this is all you need to do each time you export.
Step 1 — Select the leads and open Export/WYSIWYG
On the My Leads page, check the box in the left column next to each lead you want to export. Then hover over the Write menu and click Export/WYSIWYG — the same steps as Part 1 Steps 1 and 2.
Step 2 — Select your template and click Select
The Templates dialog opens. Click AllColumns to highlight it, then click the Select button.

Step 3 — Choose contacts, format, and click OK
The Select Contacts dialog opens. Set the following options:
- Under Contact Selection, choose All Checked to export only the leads you selected.
- Under Default File Format, make sure csv is checked.
- Click OK.

Opt downloads the CSV to your computer. You're ready to import it into Lineage.
Common issues
"I don't see the Write menu in Opt."
The Write menu may be hidden depending on your Opt user permissions. Contact your Opt administrator to confirm your account has export access.
"Some leads I checked aren't in the downloaded file."
In the Select Contacts dialog, make sure you chose All Checked — not All Selected Contacts (which exports your entire lead list). Re-run the export with the correct selection.
"The CSV opens but the columns look scrambled."
Open the file in Excel or Google Sheets first to verify it looks right before uploading to Lineage. If column headers are missing, the csv checkbox may not have been selected when the template was saved — re-save the template with csv checked and export again.
"Column mapping in Lineage isn't finding my address fields."
Confirm you used the AllColumns template rather than a custom template that may have omitted address fields. If address columns are still missing, open the CSV and check the headers manually.
